Due to numerous requests, the Organizing Committee for the upcoming 1st International Conference on Green Innovation and Circular Economy (GR-I-CE 2024) has announced an extension of the deadline for abstract submissions.

During the "9th Our Ocean Conference" an interesting panel discussion took place on “Progress and perspectives in the fight against marine plastic pollution”, where the UNESCO Chairholder, Professor Konstantinos Aravossis spoke about plastic pollution in the Mediterranean and methods to solve the issue.

An interesting panel on Energy Technologies and Corporate Innovation took place at the Brainstorm Energy Summit by Fortune Greece.

The aim of the event was to highlight green skills and the necessity for individuals with suitable expertise to lead the green transition.

An important environmental issue is being explored in the second broadcast of the "UNESCO Dialogues on the Environment". Representatives from the state, the local government and scientific bodies discussed about Greece’s current situation concerning waste management, for which the country has been faced with fines from the E.U.

A new article written by the UNESCO Chairholder Prof. Konstantinos Aravossis, was published in the bulletin of the Greek Association of Mining Enterprises, celebrating its 100th anniversary, on the subject of Circular Economy as a prerequisite for the development of the mining industry.

The Conference is being organized by the UNESCO Chair on Green Innovation and Circular Economy of National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), in collaboration with Mantis Beyond Innovation other renowned partners.

With great success and participation, the finals of the GreenTech Challenge by ESU NTUA 2022 took place on Sunday, December 11 of 2022, at the National Technical University of Athens. Greentech Challenge is currently the leading  National Green Innovation Program, aiming to highlight the best greenthech start-ups and innovative ideas of Greece.

The UNESCO Chair on Green Innovation and Circular Economy was given on 28th of June 2022 to Professor Konstantinos Aravossis, Coordinator of the Economic Environment and Sustainable Development Research Unit of the National Technical University of Athens.
