Horizon 2020 Green Alternatives for European Autonomy (GAEA) project started!

The kick-off meeting of the Horizon 2020 Green Alternatives for European Autonomy (GAEA) Project happened on July 5, 2023, marking the start of an incredible initiative.

The Unesco Chair on green Innovation and Circular Economy participates, representing the National Technical University of Athens, in this project, in close collaboration with four other esteemed Partners:

  • Mantis Beyond Innovation (Project Coordinator)
  • EIT Raw Material CLC East
  • PASEPPE
  • Occami

The GAEA project is passionately committed to addressing contemporary challenges associated with the European Green Deal and bolstering European autonomy, while taking into account the implications of the Russia-Ukraine war aftermath.

This initiative is specifically designed for innovation teams across 8 European countries, fostering regional and interregional idea competitions. GAEA aims to empower young entrepreneurs and nurture innovative thinking through continuous dialogue and collaboration among student teams.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Programme under Grant Agreement No 101100458.
