Within the GreenTech Challenge 2023 procedures at the National Technical University of Athens, Chairholder Professor K. Aravossis presented the National and European institutional framework concerning current environmental policies.

During his 45-minutes speech, the Professor presented the environmental legislative framework for Europe, as well as Greece, the targets, the challenges and the opportunities for the economy, businesses and citizens.

In particular, leveraging his 4-year long experience at the Greek Ministry of Environment and Energy, he put an emphasis on the European and National Climate Crisis Adaptation and Mitigation policies and the Circular Economy transition requirements.

The European and Greek Economy face, for the next four years, the challenge to transform into a new green, digital and circular model and for this purpose, an unprecedented amount of European, national and private funds will have to be mobilized.
