Presentation of the Proposal for the Strategic Bioeconomy Roadmap

The proposal for the Strategic Bioeconomy Roadmap, prepared by our UNESCO Chair on Green Innovation and Circular Economy of NTUA, was presented during a dedicated workshop held within the framework of the CEE2ACT project.

As noted during the event by the Secretary General for Waste Management of the Hellenic Ministry of Environment and Energy, Mr. Manolis Grafakos, our proposal will be taken into account in the development of the National Bioeconomy Roadmap by the Ministry.

Given that large quantities of organic waste from household, agricultural, livestock, and forestry sources—as well as from various sectors of the economy—remain underutilized as a source of raw materials and energy, the implementation of the Bioeconomy Roadmap is expected to bring significant environmental and economic benefits for Greece.
