Professor Konstantinos Aravossis assumed the position of Vice President of the Energy, Waste, and Water Regulatory Authority (RAAEY)

Professor Konstantinos Aravossis assumed the position of Vice President of the Energy, Waste, and Water Regulatory Authority (RAAEY), chairing the Waste sector, following a proposal by the Ministers of the Interior, Environment and Energy, Rural Development and Food, and ratification by the Council of Ministers.

His main responsibility will involve the regulation and supervision of the municipal waste management sector, as the transition to a circular economy has been his personal vision and the focus of his scientific and professional work for many years. Additionally, this is also the main scientific focus of the UNESCO Chair for Green Innovation and Circular Economy at NTUA, leading to important synergies.

He is committed to addressing this challenge and contributing with all his strength from this position to the transition of the country towards a new circular and sustainable development model.
