Nikolaos Zapantiotis Junior Researcher

Education

Nikolaos Zapantiotis holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He further enhanced his academic credentials with a scholarship at the University of Bologna, focusing on economic studies.

Research Interest

European Project Management, Economic Analysis, Marketing Strategy, Sustainability, Green Innovation, Startups, Circular Economy, Mobility as a Service (MaaS)

He is a Junior Researcher at the UNESCO Chair on Green Innovation and Circular Economy of the National Technical University of Athens.

Furthermore, he works as an External Partner at Hellenic Development Company (ELANET), audits European Union-funded investment projects. He ensures that these projects comply with EU regulations and guidelines.

He is the founder of a startup that integrates all available means of transport, from both private and public sectors, into a single platform. The primary goal of this startup is to promote sustainability in urban transportation.

Regarding notable points in his professional journey, he has worked as a Project Management Associate at the Technology Transfer Office of NTUA. In this role, he focused in promoting entrepreneurship and innovation, facilitating the commercialization of research outcomes and managing intellectual property rights. Moreover, he has completed an internship at the Embassy of the Netherlands in Greece.
