Dr. Pantelis V. Broukos graduated in Civil Engineering, with a PhD in Optimization of Urban Energy systems and Civil infrastructure, at Imperial College of London, UK, an MSc in Earthquake Engineering, at City University of London, an MA in Human Resource Management at London Metropolitan University, UK, and a Beng (Hons) in Civil Engineering, at the University of Brighton, UK.
Research Interest
Sustainable Civil Engineering, Distributed Energy Resource Systems (DER’s), Circularity in the Construction Sector, Water and Wastewater Supply Systems; Optimized, Urban and Spatial Planning for Circularity, Operations Research, Decision Making.
He is a Researcher at the UNESCO Chair on Green Innovation and Circular Economy of the National Technical University of Athens.
His activities as a member of the Chair are mainly the participation in research projects and program proposals and management, environmental studies, and techno-economic evaluations.
He has over 20 years of experience in Civil and Structural Engineering projects involved in structural and dynamic analysis of structures, mathematical programming, and Distributed Energy Resource systems (DER’s) Optimization analysis. Dr. Broukos is currently a Visiting Post-Doc Research Associate at the Centre of Process Systems Engineering at Imperial College of London, a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at the School of Civil Engineering – Laboratory of Earthquake Engineering Technology, at the National Technical University of Athens, GR, and a Ph.D. candidate, in the School of Architecture, Department of Urban and Spatial Engineering, at the NTUA.
