Education
Dr Markos Margaritis holds a PhD from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in the field of Waste Management and Chemical Reactor / Bioreactor Design, entitled “Utilization of biodegradable waste with a prototype household-type system”, with Postdoctoral fellowship in “Design of Systems Suitable for Organic Waste Processing”.
Research Interest
Environmental management, solid and liquid waste management, circular economy, renewable energy resources, innovation, water resource management, industrial processes optimization, resource efficiency.
He is an Associate Researcher at the UNESCO Chair on Green Innovation and Circular Economy of the National Technical University of Athens.
Dr. Markos Margaritis holds the position of Assistant Professor at the University of the Peloponnese in the Department of Civil Engineering. He has a significant number of scientific publications in scientific journals and international conferences. He has an extensive track record of successful managerial positions, with significant experience in project management and implementation. His leadership extends to overseeing the implementation of over 125 technical projects, encompassing a wide range of technical studies, advisory services, strategic initiatives, and national designs.
He serves as President and Managing Partner of Break Even Consulting, a consulting company specializing in various areas, including industrial process optimization, water resource management, waste management, innovation, sustainability, and entrepreneurship.
