Christos Kalantzis Junior Researcher, PhD Candidate

Education

Christos Kalantzis has an integrated master level diploma in Rural, Surveying and Geoinformatics Engineering (National Technical University – NTUA), with special focus in Topography, Transportation Engineering and Urban and Regional Planning.

Research Interest

Environmental Planning, Green Innovation, Open Innovation, Circular Economy, Environmental and Techno-Economic Evaluation of projects, activities, programs, plans and investments, Green Start-ups, Transport Projects.

He is a PhD Candidate, Technical Advisor & Junior Researcher at the UNESCO Chair on Green Innovation and Circular Economy of the National Technical University of Athens.

His activities as a member of the ESU are mainly the participation in research projects and programs proposals and management, in environmental studies and in techno-economic evaluations. Moreover, he is responsible for the UNESCO Chairholding reporting, as part of the Research Unit’s participation in the UNITWIN/UNESCO Chairs Programme, through which the ESU maintains the UNESCO Chair for Green Innovation and the Circular Economy.

As for indicative career milestones, he has been an External Technical Advisor and Associate of the Secretary General for Forestry at the Ministry of Environment and Energy and an Environmental Innovation Analyst at Mantis Business Innovation.

He is the Team Coordinator of the “envinow.gr” initiative, the purpose of which is to produce thorough documented content on environmental issues and to inform citizens about them. Also, he participates in the Organizing Committee of the leading national innovation program “Greentech Challenge by ESU NTUA”.S
