Special Issues Associated with the GR-I-CE Conferences
The UNESCO Chair on Green Innovation and Circular Economy of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) continues to strengthen its international scientific collaboration through the development of special issues in leading academic journals, associated with the activities of the International Conference on Green Innovation and Circular Economy (GR-I-CE).
Following the successful organization of the conference activities, several peer-reviewed special issues have been launched in collaboration with internationally recognized publishers, providing researchers with the opportunity to disseminate their work to a broader academic audience.
In 2024, selected contributions from the conference were invited to submit extended versions of their research to the following special issues:
- A special issue published by Elsevier, focusing on research advancements in green innovation, sustainability, and circular economy practices. (more info here)
- A special issue published by Springer, addressing emerging scientific and technological developments related to sustainable systems, environmental management, and circular economy solutions. (more info here)
Building upon this success, the 2nd International Conference on Green Innovation and Circular Economy (GR-I-CE 2026) has already initiated a new special issue in collaboration with Elsevier (more info here), where selected conference papers will be invited to submit extended manuscripts for publication.
Through these special issues, the GR-I-CE conference series continues to provide a valuable platform for researchers, academics, and professionals worldwide to share innovative research and contribute to the global transition toward sustainable development.
