New diaNEOsis Study on Wastewater Management in Greece, coordinated by the UNESCO Chair.
Almost the entire population in Greece is connected to wastewater treatment facilities.
As the challenges of climate change and the energy transition become more pressing, the efficient management and reuse of wastewater, together with the management of a critical by-product, sludge, are becoming increasingly important.
The new research study by diaNEOsis, authored by an eight-member team of authors coordinated by our Chairholder, Professor Konstantinos Aravossis, maps in detail the current state of wastewater management in the country and concludes with applied Policy proposals.
